Budding Scientists

While we may be isolated from the museums and science centers of the big city, we are so thankful that our local libraries and schools work with OMSI to bring the culture to us!  Last week the girls and I literally had a blast using air to launch balls and balloons, studying bugs, birds and skeletons, solving puzzles and building rockets at an afternoon of Science Exploration!  I love watching the girls leading the way as they learn, explore and questions the world around them......I sense some future scientists in the making!

And So It Begins..........

Much to Mommy's dismay, Old Man Winter officially arrived in Wallowa County the week before Halloween, and while we have managed to sneak in a few final days of snow-free fun, the white stuff is becoming a regular part of our day.  However, while I may be dreading the next 7 months of freezing temperatures, the Weer Girls couldn't be more ready to bundle up and head outdoors!  Here are just a few of our latest adventures.

Beach Bums

After such a long fire season apart, we couldn't have been more excited to head out as a family to our annual Johnson/Weer Beach retreat!  While the weather was far from perfect, the food, company and fun could not have been better.  From digging for shells to barking at the Sea Lions, it was a pretty much perfect weekend.

Best of Friends

Good thing Camdyn's bestest friend Jonah just happens to have a little sister (not to mention a pretty cool Mom).  Looks like best friends are going to run in the family............

Date Time

 With Daddy STILL away on fires and Camdyn on her first solo trip to a friends house, it was the perfect time for Momma and Lilly to have their very first date.  Lilly had a huge list of things she wanted to do during our alone time, but making Rice Krispy Treats (with no taking turns), rose to the top...and from the pictures it is clear to see, Little Lilly loved her extra bit of TLC.
