Somethings Never Get Old......

As the mercury neared 100 degrees, Dad and Camdyn sought out some good, clean fun! Though Mom and Lilly weren't huge fans of the freezing sprinkler water, these two ran in, out and all about without a care in the world!

Happy Half Birthday

It is hard to believe that six months ago the Weer trio became our well-rounded family of four! Our "Lilly Bean" continues to delight us with her mellow demeanor, flexible attitude, and overall super sweet, wonderful nature! So without further ado, a few highlights, milestones, and habits from the daily life of Little Lil:

*In an apparent attempt to make up for her small stature, Lilly gained over 3 pounds in the past several months, tipping the scales at 13 lbs, 10 ounces. While we think she is quite the rolly polly little lady, we are still struggling to impress the national standards falling at the 10th percentile for both height and weight.

*Lover of: Her yellow dog, one crazy older sister, snuggling with anyone, being sung to sleep, apples and pears, any contact with water, and sleeping on her tummy.

*Not so found of: Having her clothes changed, sitting in her car seat, and running out of food.

*Has mastered the fine art of: Rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back, chewing on her toes, "talking" to herself (or anyone who will listen), eating her first solid foods, passing items from one hand to another, inch worming along to get things out of her reach and making her family smile.

*Will soon be: Sitting on her own for more than 10 seconds, crawling all over the place (though Mom is dreading this one)and keeping up with her older sister!

WE LOVE YOU LILLY!!!!!

Simply Celebrating the Stars and Stripes

Mission Completed......Well, Almost!

Although we are still waiting on a few landscaping pavers and some ground cover to finish off the project, Mission Play Structure 2010, is nearly complete. After a two hour drive to the nearest Home Depot and numerous Walmart stops, "Camdyn Yards," as it is lovingly referred to, rounded out completion with the addition of some playground sand and a super-safe (though awfully colored) Lilly swing. The girls are smitten with the new structure and as they happily play..almost independently, these parents are already thankful for the investment........

We Are the Champions

Camdyn's Trike-a-Thon medal isn't the only bling decorating the Weer House these days! After a family 5K walk last weekend, Daddy went out on his own this past Saturday and placed 2nd in his age group in the 2010 Lostine River Run! Camdyn was more than happy to claim the winnings as her own and share in the victory photo with Jeff. Congratulations Dad.....your girls couldn't be more proud!

Calling All Sports Illustrated Swin Suit Model Scouts.........

With the never ending spring showers finally beginning to dwindle, we have just recently began to bask in the heat of summer. With our first official swim date on the calendar, Camdyn and I decided it was time to fit our little Lilly with the adorable, miniature swimsuit we found at Target several months ago.....little did we anticipate the challenge to ensue.

While Lilly may have initially failed to thrive in the weight department, our little chow hound has been rapidly making up ground....apparently so much ground, that the little rolls and dimples we have come to love, were not willingly wrangled by a small piece of flowery pink spandex. Ten minutes, several tears, a sweaty brow for Mom and lots of giggles for Camdyn later, our mission was accomplished.....the large majority of Lilly was fully encased. Move over US Winter Olympic Team swimsuit models....this mom's calling Sports Illustrated.
