Blessed

I know I should be catching up on life while me family snoozes, but I just can't help but stare and wonder "How did I get so blessed?"

Let the Traditions Begin

After a Pennsylvania Thanksgiving, and with a post-holiday trip to Portland planned, Jeff and I decided that we were going to spend our first Christmas morning with our new little family in our new little house! While we both missed having our parents around, we had a great time with Camdyn and Barley and were able to start a few family traditions of our own.....

Although Camdyn loved opening her gifts, eating french toast and staring at the tree, her favorite part of the day had to be her very first ride in a sled! Our friends John and Amy were kind enough to lend us their beautiful, hand-made, wooden sled and it was a perfect fit! I see lots of sledding and lots of family Christmases in our future!

Busted!!!!

While her dad and I prefer the living room or kitchen, it is very apparent that the Bathroom is where Camdyn would love to spend the large majority of her time. Several attempts at toilet diving, quickly led us to putting the lid down, but the biggest draw is obviously the bathtub.
Not only does our little lady relish every second she spends in the tub, she just can't seem to get her fill of tub time. Regardless of where she may be, or what she may be doing, the second she hears the water running, she is off! Lately however, the water doesn't even need to be on and she is trying to crawl into the bathtub to play. Scared she will harm herself doing a porcelain nose-dive, we have tried to be cognizant of shutting the bathroom door, but sometimes, she slips through our fingers........this time however she was busted before she got too far!

If You Got 'em......Why Not Flaunt Them.......

In previous photos you may have caught a glimpse of our beautiful, extraordinarily sharp, two front teeth.....but you have yet to see them in action! Unfortunately, the lack of light in our dining room leads to fuzzy pictures, but I think you'll get the idea of just how much we love our teeth.....and our food!

Just One of Those Lazy Weekends.........

Unfortunately, the lazy weekend is a rarity in the Weer House. However, with the snow piling up and the thermometer struggling to reach double digits, we had the perfect excuses to just hang out and catch up on some household chores. The only thing Camdyn seems to love more than laundry is any type of floor cleaning apparatus. From brooms, to dust mops, to the Swiffer, she is forever chasing Mom in my battle to keep up after a forever shedding yellow lab (aren't they supposed to hold onto hair when it is cold?).

This weekend we decided to literally take the broom into our own hands.........we also decided to finally fit into a cute outfit Grandma bought us at the Earth Friendly trade show back in April. If you notice what appears to be a black-eye in on picture......don't worry....we just got into a little fight with our rocker from Great-Grandma. If you think Camdyn looks bad, you should see the chair! 8)

The Santa Series

It all started so innocent, just hanging out with my Dad and some big guy in a red suit...........

Suddenly, a closer look..............WHO is this guy?!?!

The verdict?!?!? We don't so much like Santa Claus this year!

Not Quite the Perfect Outing, or the Perfect Pictures

Does anything sound more Holiday friendly or nostalgic than a Santa Train?!?! A sixty minute excursion on a scenic railway, complete with Santa, Elves, Candy Canes and Hot Chocolate! Surely this would make for the perfect Sunday afternoon!

Snow, a high of 6 degrees, at least 100 crying children, a crazy yelling, bell-ringing Santa and NO Cocoa later....we had our doubts! Not only were Camdyn, Mali and all the parents going crazy, the camera didn't even seem to be focusing right! Don't know if I will ever be lured into this holiday "tradition" again!
