Owl Hollow

Despite waking up to snowflakes numerous times this week, the Weer Girls cannot be stopped! We have been making afternoon trips with our friend Jonah to visit some of our favorite hiking spots, and burn off some of this pent up winter energy. While we have always loved the fish hatchery, we were extra excited to find something other than fish as a sign that spring is on its way.....A momma Great Horned Owl and her two owlets (yes, that is what they are called, I googled it)! Although us Moms could have stared at the wildlife all day, we were quickly reminded there were sticks to throw and fish to feed.....and we happily obliged to follow the lead of our two trail blazing toddlers!

A Huntin' We Will Go.....

Seems like you just can't have an Easter and little ones with at least two or three egg hunts. Camdyn and her competitive Momma started practicing early, hiding items around the house to hone our scavenger skills for the big Enterprise Egg Extravaganza....and our hard work paid off. Pairing Dad and Lilly as the slower half of Team Weer, we headed to the local baseball diamond with our Friend Jonah to dominate the field of 0-3 year olds! The photographer literally had to keep Camdyn and Jonah at bay as the clock counted down and they sprinted into action.....gathering as many eggs as they could in the literally three minutes it took for the hunting fun to end! Seriously, twenty minutes of waiting for 180 seconds of completely joyous chaos!

All competitive joking aside, both Camdyn and Lilly had a ball hunting eggs, as well as celebrating wonderful times with family and friends. We are truly blessed with all we have been given and hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Some Thing Never Get Old...............

Like quality time with our friend Sammy Richins! Us girls scored a lucky break when Daddy needed a ride home from the Boise airport and Auntie Sara let us crash for the night in the great state of Idaho. We were happy to see the "ball house" still up and ready for action, and this cheesy mom decided to have a "then and now" photo moment! Amazing to see how much things change....and how fun it is to have Eli and Lilly to add to the new generation of friends!

Thank you Richins Family! We promise a longer, less snowy trip soon!

A Budding Artist

Following in the footsteps of her big sister, Lilly appears to have also inherited the crafting gene! From crayons, to Play Dough, to glue sticks, the medium seems not to manor, these days Little Miss Lilly can often be found happily creating away at the kitchen table. Be prepared for homemade gifts aplenty from the Weer family in the near future!

Waiting for Spring

Like most Wallowa County residents, Camdyn and Lilly are anxiously awaiting spring. While snow covered mornings used to bring squeals of joy, these days Camdyn is quick to show her distaste for any weather with even a hint of white. Each morning, we eagerly check for our favorite sign of warmer weather on the way.....the presence of birds at our newly installed feeder. As their numbers grow each morning, we hope its a sure sign of sunnier days ahead!

They're Back.............

What do one missing camera, a virus infected computer and two very busy children equal?!?!?! Three months of absolutely, positively NO STINKING BLOGGING!!!! However, I am happy to announce, that while the girls are busier than ever, the camera has been found and the computer debugged! So, without further ado, the official return of the Weers!

I will work over the next few weeks to make up for lost time, but for now, a picture or two of our playful, precious little people!
