Just Another Saturday in the County..........

Why wouldn't we spend our weekend branding and castrating calves?!?!?!

Yesterday we headed back to Jon and Amy's ranch to lend a hand with a few more yearly farming duties. While dad was the only one who put in any hard work, Camdyn loved talking to the baby cows, Mom scurried around "herding" children and Lilly enjoyed quite the snooze before we headed to the house to hunt some Easter eggs, fill up on hamburgers and just enjoy one of our last days as a family before fire season 2010 begins.

Showing Lilly the Ropes

As Lilly becomes more aware or her surroundings and interested in interacting with toys and people alike, Camdyn has become increasingly concerned with Lilly's ability to play with things in the "right" way. The bossiness of a big "sisser" appears to be an area in which we have loads of natural talent and we have shown no reservation in teaching Lilly the ropes in everything from proper "Tummy Time" technique to balloon popping, to the fine art of rattle shaking. As you can seen, Lilly is already hanging on every word of her ever-knowledgeable older sister........and this momma is definitely seeing trouble ahead!

The Early Morning Crew...........

Looks like Mom and Camdyn aren't the only morning people.....in the last several weeks Little Lilly has made her presence as an early bird well known! Outnumbered three to one, poor dad doesn't stand a chance of sleeping in past 6:00 regardless the day of the week. However, we tend to think our morning beauty is irresistible to even the mostly nightly of night owls!

On the Mend

Hoping the cliche "When it rains it pours" doesn't hold true much longer, we are happy to report that our latest bout with health issues is hopefully coming to a close. What started as a horrendous cold for Camdyn, turned into a pretty nasty respiratory virus for our littlest Lilly. With her tiny body struggling to fight the cough on her own, they decided the hospital was the best and safest place for us to support her recovery.

While it has been a struggle for Mom and Dad to see her with so many needles and tubes attached, we are grateful for the Oxygen, IVs and medical staff that have helped keep her afloat! We are happy to report a pretty great night and are hopeful what was once anticipated as a week long stay, may end a few days early.

So all you Weer Family Followers don't worry too much, we have posted a "before" picture of a pretty lethargic struggling Lil in Daddy's arms, and an "after" shot of our little trooper this morning! We promise to keep you all updated and thank everyone for the calls, prayers and casseroles!

A Week of Twos......

This week brought the Weer Family TWO Trips to the Doctor for each of their TWO Daughters to celebrate both a TWO Year and TWO month appointment! For you hard-core followers the stats for each are detailed below!

Still refusing to flash her contagious smile for the camera very often, our little Lilly Pad enters her third month of life mellow and wonderful as ever. Despite a few rough nights, she continues to follow in the laid-back steps of her Daddy and is content tagging along with the whirlwinds better known as Maria and Camdyn. Entering the working world with Mommy three weeks ago, this nine-to-fiver has been charming the socks off of all Mommy's students and co-workers. Like her sister, she failed however, to impress the old growth chart barely making the curve at 8 lbs, 12 ounces and 21.5 inches!

While it is hard to fathom we have already been a family of four for two months, even crazier is the amazing little lady once known as Baby Camdyn! At a whole two years (and a scrawny 21.4 lbs) our favorite big sister can be briefly described as the following:

Lover of just about everything.....but is particularly fond of Legos, Monkeys, Swim Suits, Snow Suits, Boots, anything involving Barley, Olivia the pig, her new little sister, building snowman, running super "ast", dancing and Popsicles.

Not so fond of hair-washing, nap time, car seats, sitting still and sleeping in past 5:45 am.

Has mastered 2-3 word sentences, climbing every piece of furniture in our house, making Barley shake paws for a treat, stripping off all of her clothes, saying hilarious things each day and most impressive, manipulating her Mom and Dad into getting almost anything she wants.

Happy 8th Birthday Camdyn!!!!!

Although I can hardly believe she is two, when asked, Camdyn has been emphatically claiming she is turning eight for several weeks! Regardless the number, we had a great time celebrating our special day!!!
